There still isn’t much known about the film’s plot, but Edgar Wright’s Last Night in Soho might just end up being 2020’s best horror movie. 2020 has already seen several theatrical horror movies arrive, and we’re barely a month in. Needless to say, there’s still plenty of interesting horror titles yet to grace screens before 2020 is over, even if January’s somewhat lackluster output has led some fans to cry foul and worry about what’s to come.
Before the clock strikes midnight on January 1, 2021, horror fans will have borne witness to Halloween Kills, a new Saw film starring Chris Rock, A Quiet Place Part 2, The Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It, and much more. There are lots of great frights to look forward to in 2020, and among them is Last Night in Soho, a psychological horror/thriller set to be directed, co-produced, and co-written by celebrated filmmaker Edgar Wright, helmer of such hits as Shaun of the Dead and Baby Driver.
Wright has kept details concerning Last Night in Soho close to his chest, but considering his positive track record, that may be for the best. Even just based on what’s currently known, Last Night in Soho could prove to be a real top tier treat for horror lovers.
